Assistance with Life Skills Development

We aim to support individuals with disabilities in acquiring and enhancing the skills necessary for independent living and participation in their communities. We provide personal care skills support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. We can assist individuals in developing and improving their personal care skills to promote independence and self-care.

Our assistance with household management skills can involve teaching individuals how to clean, organize, and maintain their living spaces. This may include cooking, meal planning, laundry, budgeting, and shopping.

We may offer support in developing effective communication and social skills. These skills can help individuals interact confidently with others and participate in social activities.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the NDIS and what is the NDIA?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a way of funding services and support for people with permanent and significant disabilities in Australia. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is the independent agency responsible for implementing the NDIS.

    Am I eligible for NDIS?

If you have a disability that is likely to be permanent and significant you can receive funding from the NDIS. You must also be under 65 years old and live in Australia (and be a citizen or permanent resident).

What is the process for getting an NDIS plan and receiving funding?

After Submitting the Access request form to the NDIA, The NDIA will contact you to schedule a Planning and Assessment appointment after your application is approved. This may be over the phone, or you can request a face-to-face meeting. After your planning appointment, the NDIA will send you your plan. You can then begin accessing supports using the funding in your plan.

    What does the NDIS fund?
The NDIS funds reasonable and necessary support to help you reach your goals and aspirations and help a person living with a disability enjoy an ordinary life, These supports and services fall into three categories.
